Thule Apex Swing Away Hitch Rack

The Apex Swing Away rack carries up to four bikes safely and easily thanks to Thule's RDT cradles and No-Sway cages that hold fast and prevent bike-to-bike contact. Its higher mast and arced design give you greater ground clearance for peace of mind on bumpy roads. Plus, the arms fold down for storage when not in use, and the whole rack swings out of the way for ultra-easy vehicle access. There's even an integrated cable that locks your bikes and a Snug-Tite hitch lock that virtually eliminates rack movement and provides extra security for your rack.

        I own a 2013 Jeep Rubicon and it has 32" Mud tires. I added this to the stock 2" hitch and it has about 1.5" of space between the spare tire and the upper. I had to modify the plastic handle that locks the swing in place with a hack saw so it can spin and not hit the spare. Also the spare tire slightly touch's the top of the swing arm as I open the rear door. It will still go over it with no damage to the tire tho. Even with the modifications and slight rubbing I still would buy this again if I had to choose again. It holds my Specialized Rockhopper perfectly and with the anti swing for the bike I can move it away from the rear door with no troubles at all. I have only had it for a few days but at this point in time it fits my needs perfectly. Just wish they made it for 2 bikes and not just 4.
