2017 Salsa Vaya Deore

From backroad rambling and rails-to-trails touring to workday commutes and all-around fun, you'll enjoy mile after mile of smooth pedaling on the Salsa Vaya. With its vibration-damping Kung Fu chromoly steel frame, Vaya's relaxed geometry provides comfort on any route, while rack and fender mounts provide options for carrying your necessities on a weekend of adventure. Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes increase stopping power in wet conditions, and the compact crankset offers a good range of gearing for climbing mountain fire roads and rolling through the valley below. And, when the skinny path through the woods lures your adventurous side, the Vaya's wide 700 x 40c WTB Nano tires let you explore with stability and confidence. When your best rides include covering all kinds of surfaces, make the Vaya your versatile companion.

      Comments:

I couldn't find a single review for this bike and so I have decided to put one out there. I just bought this bike after having not been on a bike since I was really young. Kind of a "do it right the first time" kind of purchaser so I chose the Salsa brand after recommendations from a couple of friends and I'm glad I did. This thing is sweet! Very lightweight, nice color, and just generally fun to ride around. Been using it mostly in the city but it's supposed to be good for light trail riding too. I don't have years of experience to compare this against or anything but I do know I love riding it and getting out and about. I guess one thing I can say is the wheels come off pretty easily for transport in a car. Typically I like to read up on and review things before I buy them but just kind of took a chance on this bike and I'm glad I did. Hopefully this quasi-review helps someone else make the plunge.
